Hi, I am Fred Gardner, from the nuts........ and the bolts.
The last few days we had all these talks, expalaining ideas how we could easily make the world sustainable. All technology is available and the money is not the problem. My big worry however is that we might not be able to team up together, because people simply do not belive it can be done. What they forget however, that they are the key. Just dear say you want to make the difference, is alrady a good start. The rest will follow.
Lesley I do not mean you. I found out already you want to make the difference.
Thanks for the uppertunity to work together these last few days.

However, the economic context is that there are still almighty mountains of money to be made from petroleum so corporations shan't be putting money into things that reduce their profits until oil is too expensive.
By too expensive I mean too expensive to be used for anything other than transportation: car, rail, marine and flight. There is no need to use oil for heating and powering stationary things like buildings other than it is still a comparatively cheap way of doing so; and not every terrain has easy access to thermal energy. Wave/Solar may well be the way to go but it is not free to implement.
Yes, from a macre-conomic and multi-generational perspective, best to start implementing alternative energy generation methods now so that the oil we do have lasts longer but corporations don't think in terms of four score and ten.
