In this week’s Lesley Riddoch Podcast, Lesley is just back from Copenhagen with tales of cycling schemes, organic food and other Danish delights. In particular, Lesley refers to a conversation she had with Anya Hultberg of the Copenhagen House of Food. Lesley recorded an interview with Anya for Nordic Horizons here.
( Apologies in advance for some minor mobile phone disruption – Chris is so in love with his new Windows Phone – he forgot to turn it off during recording! )

Just a few points as a cyclist all my life I can’t conceive of people just can’t ‘get on your bike’. As to helmets until a couple of years ago I never wore a helmet but then first I got scooped up onto the bonnet of a repro Beetle and then getting out of the way of a car I tried to bounce up onto a pavement and fell off and the next I knew I was in an ambulance speeding to Livingston hospital.
But to get up and go, have you never been to a BNI breakfast where targets are set and everyone does their best to gee each other up – OK it’s American but non the worst for that.
TheOresund Bridge I have just looked up is 8km , a healthy 16kms round trip and you are bound to have the wind in your face at least one way and I can’t belive the rain is any less in Denmark than Scotland.
BTW borrow bikes have hit London; indeed the bike craze if well and truly on the up and it may surprise the Scots that Lodon is quite hilly. But then the minimum tube fare is £2.80 without an Oyster Card. A recent trip to Barcelona and there the Metro is a flat rate of 2.8 euros.
